Job Description Pali Momi Medical Center overlooks majestic Pearl Harbor on the island of O‘ahu. With 116 beds and more than 390 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi has delivered many medical firsts to the community, including West O‘ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit for the detection and treatment of heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, CT scan and MRI services, emergency services, a Women’s Center and the state’s first Retina Center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai‘i that utilizes a team triage approach in its Emergency Room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician. For five consecutive years, the American Heart Association has recognized the hospital with its Gold Award for excellence in the treatment of coronary artery disease and its Gold Plus Award for Heart Failure, making it one of only 7 in the nation to receive this distinction.

This opportunity is for the new graduate nurse who has a desire to become a Medical Surgical/Telemetry nurse. This training program is designed to create an environment which provides the new nurse support through the transition process from student, to novice, to advanced beginner, to independent practitioner. The initial clinical program will be 12 weeks in duration and will require a two year work commitment upon successful completion. There will be no time away (PTO) allowed or granted during the training program. Must be available for rotation to night shift and any shift length (4, 8, 10 or 12 hours) for the duration of the training.

As the Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide professional and compassionate nursing services to the community through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care. You will also function as an associate to a charge nurse and begin to assume charge nurse responsibilities with time.
