Job Description

With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

The Resource Team provides support and encompasses a broad skill set that supports our outpatient clinics, including Medical Sub Specialties, Pediatrics, Surgical and Women’s Health. Our flexible and dynamic members celebrate the job diversity that comes with working in different health care units, and are committed to delivering the highest quality care to patients and their families.

As a Student Intern, you will have an opportunity to join our clinic team, outreaching to patients to schedule follow up appointments, preventative health screening, or reminders to complete lab work, radiology tests, or specialty referrals. Depending on assignment and hours, interns may also receive training to assist in clinical aspects of care such as conducting health-screening questionnaires or collecting vital signs when patients come for appointments. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
