Hawaii Pacific Health Analyst - Supply Chain Management in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Description

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is a nonprofit health care system formed in 2001 with the merger of three longtime Hawai‘i health systems. It is the state’s largest health care provider, committed to providing the highest quality medical care and service to the people of Hawai‘i and the Pacific Region through its four hospitals, 49 outpatient clinics and service sites, and more than 1,300 affiliated physicians. The system is anchored by its four flagship nonprofit hospitals: Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Clinic & Hospital and Wilcox Memorial Hospital, which have led groundbreaking initiatives in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care and bone and joint services. Hawai‘i Pacific Health ranks among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide in the adoption of electronic medical records, with system-wide implementation that allows its hospitals and physicians to offer integrated, coordinated care throughout the state.

The Supply Chain Management team is dedicated to overseeing the purchase of equipment, merchandise and supplies within the organization’s guidelines for cost, quality and accurate delivery. Staff may receive, stock and transport a variety of items to and from off-site locations, handle messenger pickups and deliveries outside the facilities, maintain stockroom inventories, route incoming goods to proper departments and research or negotiate products according to quality, price and value standards.

If you are highly organized and detail-oriented, you can help our Supply Chain Management department to provide accurate and timely supplies throughout the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network. As the Materials Management Data Analyst, you will responsible for analyzing System Purchasing trends, patterns and processes to determine supply usage across the system. You will recommend processes for improvement based on reports consolidated from the EDI and financial data that provides a picture of the current supply system status and needs. You will also oversee the analysis and development of standardization as it pertains to expense reduction opportunities and improvements of contract compliance. Other duties include information gathering, vendor relations, proposal and contract review, preparation of monthly dashboards on department progress, project analysis, and reporting to support the Value Analysis Teams (VATs). We are looking for someone with excellent management and planning skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
