Information Technology (IT) implements, supports and maintains all systems at Hawai‘i Pacific Health facilities. The department encompasses the people, records and activities that process the data and information in the organization. The team provides support to users, and acts as the key liaison between the business community and vendors. It also codes, defines criteria, performs testing and debugging, and maintains programs in order to meet the informational needs of Hawai‘i Pacific Health’s numerous facilities and administrative offices. Our EMR Inpatient team is responsible for support and maintenance of electronic medical records for inpatient hospitals.

The Clinical Business Systems Analyst is responsible for data collection, analysis, design, configuration, integration, testing, and maintenance of clinical applications for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system EPIC. In this key role, you will learn about Hawai‘i Pacific Health operations and workflow in order to partner with our integrated clinical documentation/Stork/ASAP EPIC team and clinical leaders to translate business needs into clinical system functionality, ensuring that software build meets organizational goals and external mandates (e.g. HIPAA, meaningful use, etc). You would be intermittently required to travel to hospitals to provide support or for meetings and participate in rotating on-call support of clinical applications. We are searching for candidates with the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, successfully manage projects and participate in application implementation, activation and procedural documentation, and with a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Health Care or related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two (2) years of health care experience and two (2) years analyst experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and working with clinical users to determine their needs and manage the changes to those specifications, including troubleshooting systems issues and modifying applications. Current certification and/or proficiency in an EMR system.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous project management experience. Experience with supporting/implementing EPIC. EPIC certification (Inpatient ClinDoc, Stork and/or ASAP). Clinical experience (e.g. Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, etc.).
