Job Description
Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
The Supply, Processing and Distribution team plays a vital role in ensuring that medical and other needed equipment is readily available to units throughout our facilities. This department cleans, prepares, assembles, sterilizes, distributes, and ensures the quality of all surgical instruments and medical equipment so that our physicians and staff can effectively carry out their work in caring for Hawai‘i’s people.
If you are organized, responsible and detail-oriented, you could be our next Lead Central Supply Distribution Aide. In this role, you will perform routine Central Supply duties with accuracy and timeliness, serving as the resource person in the Cart Supply area, demonstrating expertise in supply receiving and distribution and maintaining quality conditions and correct procedures in the absence of the Central Supply Distribution Supervisor. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, attention to protocol and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Three (3) years of experience in inventory, exchange cart and/or stocking experience in a Supply Department. Proficient in Excel and other computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Current national Central Supply Technician Certification. Five (5) years of experience in a Central Supply Department with exchange cart and stocking experience.
