Job Description

Our services at the Kaneohe Family Health Center include: diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury for infants, children, adolescents and adults; periodic physical examinations for children and adults; complete obstetrics/gynecology and family planning services; lab testing and on-site X-ray; dietary and health education counseling and mammography.
You could gain valuable first-hand clinical operations and health care experience as a Clinic Aide in the Internal Medicine department at Straub Kaneohe. In this role you would serve as a nursing assistant who performs routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages to supporting departmental staff. We are looking for someone diligent and motivated, who enjoys learning in a fast-paced clinical environment and shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Nurse aide or medical assistant certificate showing successful completion of courses for a nurse assistant or medical assistant training program; completion of a fundamentals course from an accredited school of Nursing (name of nursing school and completion of fundamentals course); Military Corpsman certificate; EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or MICT (Mobile Intensive Care Technician) certificate; A Registered Nurse/Medical Doctor license or graduate certificate from a college in a foreign country or a successful completion of HPH Clinic Aide Program. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver – AED CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of medical terminology course.
