Job Description
Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
Our Case Management team puts great emphasis on helping each patient transit their health care treatment with an appropriate set of support tools and information. Our caring, professional staff provides timely medical and discharge management to meet clinical and service goals, and to provide an effective, appropriate continuum of care. We want to ensure that our patients receive the attention they need, especially when they require care from several different services and other combinations of medical, financial or social intervention.
We are looking for someone with remarkable administrative and operational talent to be our next Coordinator of Office Operations. You will be responsible for overall office support in assigned inpatient and/or outpatient departments, coordinating all aspects of office management and making routine administrative decisions for day-to-day operations. These include the coordination of outpatient scheduling, clerical and receptionist activities, billing, acting as a liaison between staff and various insurance companies, record keeping, accounting and customer service activities. You will also implement marketing programs to enhance referrals and overall performance for assigned ambulatory clinics. The ideal candidate is innovative and productive, has excellent communication and planning skills, enjoys working with others in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and shares our commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Two (2) years experience in a hospital or medical office setting or related experience.
