Hawaii Pacific Health Educator, Respiratory Care - Clinical Education in Honolulu, Hawaii
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is a nonprofit health care system formed in 2001 with the merger of three longtime Hawai‘i health systems. It is the state’s largest health care provider, committed to providing the highest quality medical care and service to the people of Hawai‘i and the Pacific Region through its four hospitals, 49 outpatient clinics and service sites, and more than 1,300 affiliated physicians. The system is anchored by its four flagship nonprofit hospitals: Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Clinic & Hospital and Wilcox Memorial Hospital, which have led groundbreaking initiatives in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care and bone and joint services. Hawai‘i Pacific Health ranks among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide in the adoption of electronic medical records, with system-wide implementation that allows its hospitals and physicians to offer integrated, coordinated care throughout the state.
Behind every one of our patient success stories is the dedication of a team of talented individuals who help to make Hawaii Pacific Health a premier heath care system. The Clinical Education department helps build the team’s expertise in patient care by expanding our Respiratory Department employees’ skills through demonstrations, HLC continuing education courses, nursing specialty training academies and other educational offerings. The department plans, designs, implements and evaluates all education activities for nursing staff with the goal of increasing their job performance and skills.
As the Respiratory Care Educator, you will help to provide quality, compassionate respiratory therapy services and education to patients and their families. This includes collaborating with department management and staff to plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for the Respiratory Care team and other direct care givers. We are looking for someone with dynamic communications and engaging outreach skills who shares our commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.
