Our Dermatology team provides consultations and primary care to patients suffering problems of the skin, hair, nails and mouth. Using the latest diagnostic methods, our clinical dermatologists have a wide variety of tests at their disposal to determine the cause of skin problems and treat common dermatological conditions such as acne to more complex problems such as benign or malignant tumors. The department’s highly trained staff can employ surgical interventions and other treatment plans using breakthrough technology and knowledge in the field.
As a Histotechnologist, you will join the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide our recognized compassionate health services to patients and their families. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high quality preparation of tissue specimens for histologic examination by Dermatologists during MOHS (Micrographically Oriented Histographic Surgery) procedures. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communication and patient care skills and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Microbiology or Zoology. American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified Histologic Technician. One (1) year of Histotech experience OR one (1) year experience working in a laboratory setting with knowledge and application of quality control, safety, and infection control standards.
