With 207 beds and 66 bassinettes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children’s specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi‘olani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi‘olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawai‘i, we are home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.

Patient Services Administration supports the hospital/clinic leadership and is responsible for assigned areas within our flagship Clinical Service Line operations. These areas may include quality and financial performance, marketing strategies, human resource planning, medical staff relationships, and research and education initiatives. The Patient Services Administration team works closely with other health care leadership and staff within our hospitals and clinics to ensure that Clinical Service Line operations are running smoothly. They also provide staffing services for the hospitals and serve the facility with customer service, clinical competency and fiscal responsibility.

If you are motivated and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, you could be our next House Supervisor in the Patient Services Administration department, where you would help to manage overall quality and delivery of hospital care. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising hospital-wide activities such as providing administrative/clinical support and staffing for the patient care area during specific shifts; and participating in inter and intra-departmental problem resolution and communication. We are looking for someone with outstanding organization and competence, the ability to create a collaborative, team-oriented environment and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
