Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 243 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,500 employees and more than 630 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

The Respiratory Therapy team partners with health care professionals across the continuum of care to provide quality therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for our patients with acute or chronic cardiopulmonary disorders. Our team of respiratory therapists work with patients to improve lung function through exercises, special medications and the use of oxygen equipment. This experienced team incorporates evidence-based practice and state-of-the-art technologies in their practice to improve patient experience while at our hospital and clinics.

As the Respiratory Care Manager, you will oversee a dynamic staff and be responsible for administrative and clinical aspects of the department. We are looking for someone with organizational and strategic leadership skills who shares our commitment to creating a healthier Hawai'i.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Four (4) years healthcare leadership or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
