Hawaii Pacific Health Manager - Security in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Description

With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

The Security team provides security, information, directions and escort service to patients and staff as needed, while adhering to policies and regulations regarding safety. As Security Officers patrol Hawai‘i Pacific Health facilities, they are often the first to meet and greet our clients, which positions the community’s experience at our facility in a positive way. The Security team plays a vital role in creating a sense of safety and security throughout our hospitals, which is important to our patients and their families.

As the Security Manager, you will help to ensure that Hawai‘i Pacific Health facilities offer a safe and secure environment for our patients, guests and employees. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing security services and security management programs for all three O‘ahu hospitals. You will act as a liaison with Federal, State, County, and community agencies with respect to security programs and activities. At Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women and Children, the Security Manager serves as Safety Officer and has the authority to make emergency decisions in the event of a safety incident that results from external or internal disasters, or any other condition that poses an immediate threat to life or health, and/or damage to equipment or buildings. We are looking for someone with outstanding customer service and operational skills and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
