Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 243 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,500 employees and more than 630 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

Founded on the philosophy of empowering women to take charge of their health, the Kapi‘olani Women's Center has been helping women to take good care of themselves and their families for years. Through the Women's Center, clients receive health screenings, diagnostic tests and treatment services. Kapi‘olani Women’s Center has been named one of the Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. The Center also ranks among the top in the nation. Other areas of health care at the Women’s Center include: bone health and osteoporosis, menopause, ultrasound, women’s counseling and coaching, aesthetics, massage, acupuncture and various educational classes geared toward healthy living.

As an Oncology Program Liaison, you will responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Oncology Patient Navigation and Social Work Services teams. You will also respond to inquiries from external organizations, prospective appointees, department/service practitioners, and hospital departments. We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Three (3) years of clerical/secretarial experience in position with extensive customer contact.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read, write, speak and translate one or more foreign languages.
