Kapi‘olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai‘i's women and children through excellence in academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care. The group is comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other staff, covering newborn to women's health services at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children. KMS operates exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options at Kapi‘olani and building support for these services within Hawai‘i as a whole. The group’s specialty areas include: Behavioral Health Services, Emergency Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology and the full spectrum of Pediatrics. Its Women’s specialists include Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.
The Orthopedics department is trained to handle the most common of injuries, from sprains, broken bones and sports injuries, to specialized conditions such as arthritis and congenital disorders. Our multi-disciplinary team includes fellowship-trained orthopedic physicians, rheumatologists, physical therapists, nurses and other health care providers that specialize in treating a wide range of injuries in children and adults.
As the Physician Assistant, you will gain invaluable experience and insight as part of our professional physician team while performing a variety of patient care activities related to the diagnosis and treatment of ill and injured patients in our Orthopedics department. We are looking for someone motivated and driven, with outstanding patient care and communication skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Work Schedule: Day - 8 Hours

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Physician Assistant license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. One (1) year experience in area of specialty or successful completion of a specialty specific training program.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in area of specialty.
