Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

Straub's widely recognized Endocrinology/Diabetes team includes a group of trained endocrinologists who evaluate, diagnose and treat illnesses resulting from abnormalities of hormone-producing glands, such as the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, parathyroid, gonads or pancreas. These health care professionals also treat patients suffering from problems related to osteoporosis, cholesterol problems and diabetes.

As the Supervisor, we are seeking a responsible individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. In this role, you will plan and coordinate staff performances of administrative and clerical duties and ensure all work activities are carried out with accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and leadership skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree health care related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience. Three (3) years of progressive clinic operations experience. Demonstrated leadership ability, including a flexible approach, good planning, organizational skills, and follow-through. Customer service oriented and has the ability and desire to promote interpersonal relationships.

Preferred Qualifications: LPN or RN license. Health care management experience. Budgeting and/or financial experience. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding. IDX system application knowledge.
