Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center is a fully integrated nonprofit health care system with a 159-bed tertiary care hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai‘i. With more than 300 employed or contracted physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with expert diagnoses and treatments for more than 30 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multi-disciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai‘i, such as pioneering minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement. In 2010, the American Heart Association recognized Straub in three areas of excellence: Coronary Artery Disease (Gold Award), Heart Failure (Silver Award) and Heart Attack (Bronze Award).

Straub has been a leader for years in providing specialized medicine services to Hawai‘i companies through our Occupational Health department. Straub's board-certified occupational medicine physician and staff provide post-offer physicals, executive health examinations, work capacity evaluations, toxicology evaluations, accident prevention programs, work site evaluations, respiration physicals and permanent partial disability ratings.

As the Supervisor of Clinical Operations, you will provide essential oversight to ensure that Straub patients receive the highest quality care at our Occupational Health department. In this role you will supervise and administer the day-to-day operations of one or more small to mid-sized clinics, including the oversight of patient care activity. You will be guided by the process of integrating organizational and clinic service philosophy and objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Three (3) years progressive clinic operations experience. Demonstrated leadership ability, including a flexible approach, good planning, organizational skills, and follow-through. Customer service oriented and has the ability and desire to promote good interpersonal relationships.

Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license. Health care management experience. Budget financial experience. Knowledge of International Classification of Diseases 9th edition (ICD-9) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding. IDX system application knowledge.
