The ‘Ele‘ele Clinic provides family practice and internal medicine on the West side of the island. Family physicians possess unique skills and knowledge, which qualifies them to provide comprehensive medical care, health maintenance and preventive services to each family member. These specialists, because of their background and interaction with the family, are best qualified to serve as the patient’s advocate in all health-related matters, including the appropriate use of consultants, health services and community resources.
As a Medical Assistant in our ‘Ele‘ele Clinic, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the National Association For Health Professionals (NAFHP), the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience.
