Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the island’s Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is dedicated to adult patients who are critically ill or being closely monitored to prevent deterioration. Our multidisciplinary, professional staff provides care that supports the holistic inclusion of patients, families and significant others in order to assure the safe recovery of our clients and decrease the length of inpatient stay.

As the Monitor Technician, you will help the department deliver quality, compassionate cardiac care for to patients and their families. You will be responsible for observing cardiac monitor screens on telemetry nursing units, identifying rhythm changes, performing a variety of clerical duties and helping to maintain patient records on the nursing unit. We are looking for someone with an exceptional sense of quality control in patient care, a talent for managing complex instrumentation and procedures and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: High School or equivalent. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver - AED CPR card. One (1) year experience as a cardiac monitor clerk, ward clerk, or related position.
