Hawaii Pacific Health Nurse Practitioner - Hematology Oncology in Lihue, Hawaii

Job Description

Kaua‘i Medical Clinic combines the intimacy of a neighborhood clinic with the resources of Hawai‘i’s largest multi-specialty medical group. The clinic currently has 88 physicians and more than 20 medical specialties. It provides the majority of primary and secondary care to Kaua‘i’s residents, serving as the most comprehensive medical practice on the island. Combined with the resources and financial strength of Hawai‘i Pacific Health, a multi-hospital and medical group system, we offer the benefits of working within a group practice. The main clinic is located on our affiliated Wilcox Memorial Hospital campus, a modern 71-bed community hospital, and there are also three primary care satellite clinics in other locations around the island.

At the Kaua‘i Medical Clinic the Hematology Oncology department provides care via visiting board-certified oncologists from Straub Clinic & Hospital who are trained to evaluate and treat all types of cancer and blood disorders. Patients can receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapy. Three physicians travel regularly from Honolulu to provide care and treatment to Kaua‘i patients, facilitating specialty care through the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network. In addition to the physician-provided services, Kaua‘i Medical Clinic’s nurses are skilled in providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.

If you are compassionate, attentive and enjoy working with people, you could be the ideal candidate for our Nurse Practitioner position at our Outpatient Clinics, where you will help to provide our signature high quality patient care to patients and their families. You will be delivering direct treatment, evaluation and technical procedures to a specific group of patients in an assigned unit, including health education, referrals to other disciplines and consultation with colleagues and other allied health personnel.
