Hawaii Pacific Health Physician Assistant - Urgent Care (on-call) in Lihue, Hawaii

Job Description

The Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is comprised of over 700 employed physicians and advanced practice providers. Together with our four medical centers (Kapi‘olani, Pali Momi, Straub, and Wilcox) and more than 50 convenient clinic locations statewide, our nonprofit health system is one of the state’s largest health care providers. At Kaua‘i Medical Clinic, the Urgent Access Clinic provides treatment of minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis in a medical facility outside the hospital emergency room. The Urgent Access Clinic offers general medical care, occupational medicine, X-ray's, vaccines, school and sports physicals and limited on-site prescriptions. It is especially convenient when patients cannot wait for an appointment or their doctor is on vacation.

As the Physician Assistant, you will gain invaluable experience and insight as part of our professional physician team while performing a variety of patient care activities related to the diagnosis and treatment of ill and injured patients in the Urgent Care department. We are looking for someone motivated and driven, with outstanding patient care and communication skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Work Schedule: Rotating - 8 Hours

Work Type: Per Diem

Starting Hourly Rate: 61.01

Exempt: Yes

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Physician Assistant license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CPR card. One (1) year recent physician assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Urgent Access clinic environment.
