Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua‘i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. The Sterile Services team plays a vital role in ensuring that medical and other needed equipment is readily available to units throughout our facilities. This department cleans, prepared, assembles, sterilizes, distributes, and ensures the quality of all surgical instruments and medical equipment so that our physicians and staff can effectively carry out their work in caring for Hawai‘i’s people.
As the SPD Tech, you will play an important role in helping deliver accurate and efficient distribution of materials throughout the Wilcox Medical Center. Your role will include cleaning, preparing, assembling, sterilizing, distributing, and ensuring the quality of all surgical instruments and specific medical equipment according to established procedures and techniques. As an SPD Tech, your role also includes training new aides and serving as a resource to other employees. We are looking for someone responsible and detail-oriented, with the ability to carry out tasks effectively with minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
Work Schedule: Rotating - 8 Hours

Minimum qualification: High school diploma or equivalent, Central Supply Technician certification training course, current National Central Supply Technician Certification.
Minimum experience: Two (2) years SPD/ Central Processing related experience
